Disaster Planning and Business Continuity for Healthcare
This session focuses on best practice concepts outlined by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), The Joint Commission, and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 99 to help healthcare facilities implement effective disaster and business continuity plans. Topics covered include identifying priorities pre, during, and post-disaster; components of emergency operations plans; completing and reviewing an effective hazard vulnerability analysis; and, recognizing key differences of business continuity plans from other disaster plans.
CHFM Certification Renewal
This session has been approved by the American Society for Health Care Engineering of the American Hospital Association for Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM): 1.0 Continuing Education Credit (CEC).
